Needing a map

The philosophy and otherwise irrelevant ramblings of a struggling poet.

Ok, so the whole posting more this month thing didn't work out so well...
Partly because I moved. Partly because I'm working more. Partly because since I moved, my phone was out of order for over a week, therefore my DSL was out of order for a week... SO... 2 weeks of it really wasn't my fault. I still don't have my official DSL e-mail restarted on this computer, so I'm not even remotely caught up with what I'm supposed to be doing.
But, computer is restarted, DSL is working, phone is working.... House is completely unpacked... well at least the first 3 are true. I am enjoying my new apartment. It is on the ground floor and in a 4plex instead of an apartment building. It is still close to the flower shop, so I can still walk to work during the summer.
My car is still dead and sitting at my other apartment. I think it may have to wait till the fall to get fixed. I just don't have the cash to deal with it right now.

In other news, I saw an old friend tonight who has inspired some oddish writing thoughts. She was in my classes at Drury and I enjoyed talking to her. She is one of those people who always had faith in me and I have been thinking about a few things since I saw her, so who knows--I might actually get creative for a little bit.

    Hey Lisa,

Nice to hear from you. I am glad you are liking your newplace. I guess a change is always good.

About the car, why don't you get a bicycle for yourself? It doesn't breakdown too much and Its easy to fix (cheaply too)

    Cheers

Unfortunately, in the area where I live, a bicycle wouldn't help much. Although it is getting a bit better, this area is very cycle unfriendly. That and it being a very sprawled area as the midwest tends to be.
Fortunately, I actually live within walking distance to the flower shop, so it's not too big of a deal right now. It only takes about 5 minutes to walk there.
I hope I will be able to get my car fixed in a few months and not have to worry about it through the winter. Winter here is too bad on some days to walk to work even at that small distance--other days... well I have seen the temperature drop over 50 degrees in one day before. One day it could be 70, the next it could be 20... You never know.
