Needing a map

The philosophy and otherwise irrelevant ramblings of a struggling poet.

"Open House" is an event that craft or floral stores often hold before the big holiday season. Basically, the store has several specials (Our store has LOTS of artificial Christmas trees). Many stores also have snacks and apple cider or something similar. It's usually a horrendously busy time and no one has time to think...
This year...
It was slow...
VERY very slow.

I had to roam around the store looking for people who wanted to buy trees. I may have mentioned before... I don't like people. I'm not the world's friendliest person and I would prefer to hide behind the partition and make arrangements than to wander around the store being friendly. I can, however, be friendly when I have to be. I think I was more friendly in the space of 2 days than I have been for the bulk of this entire year.

I decided to write a bit before the craziness of the winter holidays gets here. I work in a flower shop and I think the manager has gone insane. (Either that or she's started menopause.) Our open house begins Friday and it's always a nuthouse that weekend.

Nothing much is happening, and I haven't been writing much anywhere, so I don't have much to say. I hope everyone had a safe and happy halloween and I will try to write again when things calm down at the store.
